Write For Growth: Autumn Aspects

On: Monday September 23rd

From: 10 - 12.15pm

At: The Charcoal Gallery, Hawarden

The shortening of daylight; changing colour of leaves and migrating of birds are signs that Autumn is upon us, in a poignant beauty, that evokes both rejoicing and releasing.

In this workshop, we will celebrate and explore this season of transition and letting go, mindful of Samuel Butler’s suggestion that in Autumn, ‘what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits.’

Making Words Count: Poetry Workshop

On: Thursday October 3rd

From: 10am-3pm

At: The Old School, School Lane Great Budworth CW9 6HQ

In this Poetry Workshop for National Poetry Day we will explore how we can freshen up our poetry amid the inspiration of different surroundings.  What do we write about and how can we craft our language and form to make our poetic words count?

This  event is being organised by the Cheshire Poetry Break Group.  Cost will be cash  payment on the day, amount dependent on number of attendees but not exceeding £20. As well as writing materials, you will need to bring a packed lunch, though drinks are provided.

To book, please e-mail Phil at cheshirepoetrybreak@gmail.com
